Profile: Rob started playing Subbuteo in 1985, and won his only English Open event to date, the 1988 Farnborough Open, shortly before moving to Cyprus in November that year. Rob won back-to-back Cyprus Senior National titles in the early 90's, earning him a place in the 1990 Waddington's Subbuteo World Cup held in Rome.
Rob returned to the sport in the summer of 2004 after a 13-year break and has been a regular on the English Circuit scene since. A steady improvement in his game the past 12 months has seen Rob reach the finals of both the FISTF Putney Challenger, (losing on shots to the Italian Luca Licheri), and also the Yorkshire Phoenix League Cup, (losing to Yorkshire League Champion Trevor Cummings). Rob was also part of the Yorkshire Phoenix B side that recently lost the ESTFA National Finals to the Yorkshire A team, his last outing for the Phoenix before joining EPL in the summer of 2007.
